The Bharat Mobility Auto Expo is about to commence on the 17th of January. A number of major automakers will be showcasing their new models at this show. Among these will be Tata Motors, which will be showing off a total of 5 new SUVs at the show. Now, if you want to know the details of these upcoming 5 SUVs, here are all the details.
Harrier.ev
Based on Tata’s latest Gen 2 EV architecture, the electric iteration of the popular mid-size SUV Harrier will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. This SUV will retain the overall design of the ICE Harrier, which was facelifted a while ago. However, it will get a new closed-off grille, new aeroblade alloy wheels, and new bumpers.
At the moment, the exact powertrain options of the Harrier.ev have not been revealed. However, most likely, it will be offered with a battery pack in the range of 60–80 kWh, and its driving range will be around 500 km on a single full charge. It is also expected to come with features like V2L (Vehicle-to-load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities.
Sierra Petrol
Tata Motors is reviving its super popular model, the Sierra, this year. The company has been showcasing the concept model of the new 2025 Sierra for quite some time now. However, this year at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo, the company is expected to show the final production version of this SUV.
The new Sierra boasts a much more modern and futuristic design. It gets a boxy shape and a split headlamp setup at the front. It also gets large spider-web alloy wheels, and its rear has been cleverly designed to hide the rear doors. Overall, it looks like a glass panel, like its predecessor, but it has been given a five-door layout.
In terms of power, the new Sierra Petrol is expected to come equipped with the brand’s new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which will make around 168 bhp and 268 Nm of torque. On the other hand, there will also be a 2.0-litre diesel engine from the Harrier and Safari, which are currently on sale. This motor will produce around 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
Safari.ev
Along with the Harrier.ev, Tata Motors will most likely also showcase the electric version of the Safari, which will be called the Safari.ev. The electrified Safari will also be offered with some stylistic changes to differentiate it from the ICE model. As for the powertrain, it will remain identical to the Harrier.ev. It will also get the same 60–80 kWh battery pack, offering 500+ km of range. Pricing will be around Rs 25–35 lakh.
Harrier Petrol
Tata Motors has also been working on the development of the Harrier petrol. Most likely, at the Auto Expo this year, the final iteration of the Harrier petrol will be showcased. Like the Sierra Petrol, the Harrier Petrol is also expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre TGDi engine. This motor will be able to produce 168 bhp and 268 Nm of torque.
Sierra.ev
Last but not least, Tata Motors will also showcase the final production version of the Sierra.ev. Like the Harrier.ev and Safari.ev, the new Sierra.ev will also be based on the Gen 2 EV architecture. This means that it will also be offered with the same 60–80 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 500 km. Other features are also likely to remain the same.
