10 New Mass Market Electric Cars Launching In 2025

We are saying this because the upcoming year of 2025 is filled with a ton of exciting electric car launches. A number of major automakers in India will launch a ton of mass-market electric cars in India next year. So, without any delay, here are the details of all the electric cars that are coming in 2025.

Hyundai Creta EV

Finally, after keeping everyone on their toes, the South Korean automotive giant Hyundai will be launching its all-new mass-market electric SUV, the Creta EV, in India. It will be launched at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. The Creta EV is expected to come equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack offering a range of 450 km. It will also offer 138 bhp of power and 255 Nm of torque with its single electric motor. Pricing is expected to start at Rs 22 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

To directly compete with the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of its first all-electric product, the e Vitara. This new SUV will be similarly sized and priced as the Creta EV. However, it has been revealed that it will be offered with two battery pack options — 49 kWh and 61 kWh — with a driving range of 450–500 km. It will be based on Maruti Suzuki’s Heartect-e skateboard platform.

Toyota Urban Electric SUV

Taking advantage of the badge-engineering model, Toyota will also be launching its very own version of the e Vitara from Maruti Suzuki. It will be called the Toyota Urban Electric SUV. It has been reported that this particular EV SUV will be launched later in 2025. It will offer the exact same powertrain options and interior as the e Vitara. The only major changes will be on the exterior of the car.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors currently has the largest market share of electric vehicles in India at around 58 percent. However, it is falling rapidly due to increasing competition. So, in order to lure in more buyers, the company will be launching the Harrier EV at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo next year. It will be the brand’s first AWD EV, as it will come with dual motors. It will also boast a battery pack ranging between 60–80 kWh. Driving range is expected to be around 500 km, and the price will be in the Rs 25–30 lakh range.

Tata Safari EV

Along with the launch of the Harrier EV, Tata will also launch the Safari EV. This time, however, it is believed that the Safari EV will be launched a few months after the Harrier EV. In terms of the battery pack and other powertrain components, they will be shared with its sibling.

Tata Sierra EV

Following the launch of the above-mentioned EV SUVs, Tata will officially launch the Sierra EV. It is expected to make its official debut in the second half of 2025. At the moment, the exact battery size has not been revealed; however, it is expected to offer around 500 km of range. The new Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform, and it will be priced around Rs 25–35 lakh.

Mahindra BE 6

Mahindra, at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, is expected to reveal the final pricing of the BE 6 electric SUV. This unique and futuristic EV will be offered with two battery pack options — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Range will be 535 km and 682 km, respectively. It will come powered by an electric motor making an impressive 282 bhp and 380 Nm. All of this power will be sent to the rear wheels. Mahindra has announced that the base price will be Rs 18.9 lakh.

Mahindra XEV 9E

In addition to the BE 6, Mahindra will also launch the XEV 9E electric SUV. It will also come with the same battery pack options of 59 kWh and 79 kWh. As for range, it will be 542 km and 656 km, respectively. At the moment, we are aware that the starting price of this SUV will be Rs 21.9 lakh. Final pricing and variant details will be announced at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo.

Kia Syros EV

Kia India has recently unveiled the Syros ICE model in India. It is expected that around the second half of 2025, it will be launching the EV version of this unique sub-compact SUV. It is expected to get a 35–40 kWh battery, and its range will be around 400 km. Pricing is expected to remain under Rs 20 lakh to rival the Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

In addition to the BE 6 and XEV 9E, Mahindra is expected to launch the XUV 3XO EV, which will be the facelift version of the XUV400 EV. It will come equipped with 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh battery packs, and pricing is likely to remain under Rs 20 lakh. The exact launch date has not been revealed at the moment.
