SUVs are gaining acceptance in the country. In October, several manufacturers rolled out attractive discounts and offers on their SUV models. Here are 13 SUVs that get over 1 lakh in discounts this month:
Tata Nexon
An extremely popular SUV in India, the Nexon offers a diverse range of powertrain choices. It is available in petrol, diesel, CNG and electric forms. This month, the SUV gets discounts of Rs 16,000-1 lakh. The MY23 models get an additional 15,000 rupees cut.
Nissan Magnite
Nissan is set to give the Magnite a facelift in India. The new car will make its premiere on October 4, 2024. The outgoing SUV is priced between Rs 6.00 lakh and Rs 10.66 lakh, ex-showroom. Probably in an effort to clear unsold inventory, select variants of the Magnite now sell with discounts of up to 1.25 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
This mid-size SUV from Maruti Suzuki India has both mild hybrid and strong hybrid versions to it. The 115hp hybrid powertrain delivers excellent fuel efficiency and is often the popular pick among buyers. Up to 1.28 lakh rupees can now be saved on buying various variants of the Grand Vitara.
Kia Seltos
Benefits and savings of up to 1.3 lakh can be availed on various variants of the Seltos. This includes a cash discount, exchange bonus and an accessories package. Three engine options are available on the Seltos- 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 turbo petrol and 1.5 diesel. Both manual and automatic transmissions are offered. Priced in the Rs 10.90-20.34 lakh range, the Seltos competes with the Hyundai Creta, Tata Curvv and Skoda Kushaq/ VW Taigun.
Citroen C3 AirCross
The C3 Aircross is available with both five-seater and 5+2-seater layouts. Recently the SUV ditched the ‘C3’ prefix from its name and is now called just the ‘Aircross’. It also received a bunch of other updates as well. It now comes with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the C3 hatchback. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available. The vehicle now offers cuts and benefits of up to 1.5 lakh.
Tata Safari
Tata Motors is offering discounts of Rs 50,000- 1.4 lakh on the MY2024 Safari. MY23 variants get an additional Rs 25,000 in cash discounts. Max benefits on MY23 Safari is thus 1.65 lakh! Tata’s flagship SUV is priced in the range of 15.49- 27.34 lakh. The October discounts will make the SUV pack more value for the buck. The Safari is available with an FCA-sourced diesel engine alone. Key rivals include the MG Hector and Mahindra XUV 700.
MG Hector
MG entered the Indian market with Hector. The SUV is now offered with savings of up to 2 lakh. It comes with the choice of two engines- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel, and three seating options (5, 6 and 7).
Maruti Jimny
The Jimny has lately been posting low sales in India. Maruti has announced attractive benefits on it in the past few months. For October, the SUV gets an additional 45000 discount over the last month. This makes the total savings a whopping 2.5 lakh! Currently priced between 12.74 and 14.79 lakh, it battles the likes of Mahindra Thar Roxx and Force Gurkha. The 4×4 SUV is powered by a 1.5 NA petrol engine.
Mahindra XUV400
Mahindra’s first electric SUV – the XUV400 – is offered with savings of up to 3 lakh in October 2024. Exact discounts vary among variants. It is the top-spec EL Pro with the 7.2 kW charger that gets maximum cuts.
Volkswagen Taigun
Volkswagen offers savings of up to 3.07 lakh on the Taigun this month. Maximum discounts apply to unsold MY2023 Taigun 1.5 GT. MY24 Taigun 1.0 TSI is offered with discounts of 60,000- 1.25 lakh. The prices have now come down to 10.90 lakh-18.70 lakh!
Jeep Compass
The Compass is now available with discounts and savings of up to 3.15 lakh. It is the carmaker’s most affordable SUV in India, and comes with a 2.0 diesel engine. The price falls in the range of 18.99-32.41 lakh.
MG Gloster
MG offers a whopping 6 lakh cut on the Gloster SUV. The Fortuner rival is priced between Rs 38.80 lakh and Rs 43.16 lakh. The Gloster is expected to get a major update soon. This is also a reason for dealers to push sales with drool-worthy offers.
Toyota Hilux
The Hilux recently got massive dealer-level cuts and discounts. In October this year, the pickup truck lets you save up to 7 lakh. It is available in 3 variants and the price falls between 30.40 lakh and 37.90 lakh. It uses the Fortuner-borrowed 2.8-litre diesel engine mated to manual and automatic transmissions.
