Even though car sales are all time high since last 5 years, automakers are offering huge discounts to push sales further. Here are cars which will save you around Rs. 1 lakh or more, if you go for them.

Hyundai Elantra

The new Elantra will be launched in India soon. To make sure that the old stock is cleared before the all-new Elantra enters the market, Hyundai is offering a huge discount of Rs. 1.5 lakh. The discount applies on 2016 model year units too, and can be just the deal you’re looking for.

Fiat Linea T-Jet

The most powerful Linea in the Indian line-up now comes with a discount of Rs. 1.2 lakh (Rs. 1 lakh cash + Rs. 20,000 corporate). This is also a stock clearing discount. The Linea 125 S will be in the market by early August. The Linea T-Jet produces 115 Bhp against the 125 Bhp in the upcoming Linea 125 S. A discount of above Rs. 1.2 lakhs for 10 Bhp is quite a deal to take.

Renault Lodgy

Renault is offering Rs. 97,000 discount on its Lodgy MPV. Even though the car is not doing very well against its competitors, the discount is limited to lower powered 84 Bhp-200 Nm variants only. The 108 Bhp variants remain unaffected by the current scheme. After the discount, the starting price drops to Rs. 7.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which brings it closer to the price of its nearest rival Ertiga, which is priced at Rs. 7.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Volkswagen Vento

The Vento facelift was launched recently in India. Competing against Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Ciaz, the Vento is now cheaper by Rs. 85,000 depending on the variant of the car. Vento is a good choice in its segment at this price given that almost all the competitors face waiting periods. Also, the Vento is among the sturdiest cars in the C-Segment sedan class.

Nissan Terrano

The Duster based Terrano has a discount of Rs. 90,000 on it. Haggle a bit more, and you could get a lakh off. While the Renault Duster was recently updated with new looks and interiors. the Terrano is yet to receive any such updates. The discount will put the Terrano on the radar of many customers who want to buy the new Duster but are facing waiting period or budget issues.
