There were two eye catching shades that the 2014 Ford Fiesta Facelift was endowed with for the media drives, Kinetic Blue and Golden Brown. While Ford India made it clear that the Kinetic Blue shade wouldn’t be offered in India, the Golden Brown colour was the solitary new colour on the Fiesta Facelift.
However, Fiesta sedans in this colour will not be available until the end of this year and multiple Ford dealers that CarToq spoke to confirmed the same. So, if you’re heart is set on a Fiesta Facelift in Golden Brown garb, you’ll have to wait until the end of this year to get your hands on one. Slow delivery times for the Fiesta Facelift has to do with Ford India concentrating on maximizing EcoSport production.
However, Ford dealers continue to accept bookings for the Golden Brown coloured Fiesta Facelift sedan. The Fiesta Facelift comes with a solitary turbo diesel engine option, and features revised styling on the outside and new features on the inside. The 1.5 liter-4 cylinder TDCI turbo diesel motor outputs 89 Bhp-204 Nm and delivers an outstanding mileage of 25 Kmpl.
Arguably, the car’s ride and handling package is the best in the C-Segment sedan class and with the car’s positioning, Ford India has clearly emphasized on selling the Fiesta Facelift as a driving pleasure focused automobile. The car’s pricing has been a pleasant surprise, and the facelifted Fiesta delivers spades of value.
Based on the B-Car platform, the Fiesta Facelift sedan is built at Ford India’s Maramalainagar production facility, off Chennai. The car uses a boron steel body that is said to be light yet strong. Other interesting technologies on the car include pull drift compensation for the steering, voice controls, emergency assist and AppLink connectivity.
Deliveries of the facelifted Fiesta sedan have already begun and you can read CarToq first drive review of the car right here.
