Both of them took the delivery of the new SUV in a brilliant Spectral Blue shade. The car was launched in the Indian market in November 2020 and is the first-ever AMG model to be made in India. Because it is locally assembled, it gets an attractive price tag of less than Rs 1 crore.

The car comes powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The V6 engine generates a maximum power of 390 PS and a peak torque of 520 Nm. It can do 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The power is distributed to all four wheels through the AMG Performance 4MATIC system. It is, however, rear-wheel biased with 69 per cent of total output sent to the rear wheels.
The AMG-powered GLC looks quite similar to the standard GLC Coupe. But there are a few changes that add the sporty touch and makes it look much more aggressive. The car comes with a Panamericana grille, tweaks to the front bumper, side skirts, quad-piped exhausts, a rear diffuser element and a sportier set of alloy wheels.
The cabin also gets a long list of features including the red highlights all over. The highlights add a sporty flair to the GLC 43 Coupe and it gets also bucket seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and aluminium-finished paddle shifters.
The dual-screen set-up on the dashboard includes a massive 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest MBUX software as standard. Since it is an AMG, it also gets AMG-spec display styles. The luxurious SUV also gets adaptive damping for the suspension and five drive modes that can adjust the engine, transmission, suspension and steering to make the driving more suitable as per the driver’s preference.
While many celebrities choose to go for big luxury SUVs, this is the first time that someone from the movie industry has chosen the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 SUV. After the launch of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, there was a spike of owners from Bollywood but only a few choose high-performance vehicles. Since most of the celebrities choose the rear seats over the driver’s seat, it will be interesting to see if Chinki and Minki make use of all the power and driving pleasure that comes with AMG cars.
