Chevrolet Aveo CNG launch at Auto Expo 2010

General Motors said that at the upcoming Auto Expo 2010, the company will launch a CNG version of the Aveo.

By the Aveo, all of us and even GM mean the Aveo sedan, and not the hatchback U-VA. So, for the time being, let us assume that it is the sedan that will be launched in a new CNG avatar at the Auto Expo by GM India. GM sold 412 units of the Aveo petrol in NOvember 2009.

CNG is not widely available outside the big cities in India, so we guess that they are not expecting large numbers for the CNG Aveo.

Most of the attention is focused on the Chevrolet Beat hatchback which will be launched at the 2010 Expo.

The cars from GM that we will see at the Auto Expo include the Chevrolet Camaro, Volt hybrid, the WTCC Chevy Cruze, Spark electric version’s prototype, Spark LPG, Captiva Extreme and its current models the Cruze, Spark, Optra, Captiva, Tavera, Aveo U-VA and Aveo sedan.
