Chevrolet unveiled the new Captiva at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Captiva is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 19 lakh – 21 lakh and may go on sale by February 2012.
The facelifted Captiva has a bold split grille at the front, large fog lamps housing seamlessly integrated into the skid plate. The overall design has helped the new Captiva to pose a stronger, more athletic stance.
The new Captiva also retains the dual cockpit design though the grey-black combination dulls the cabin, a bit. Expect plushy interiors offering good comfort to all the passengers.
The rear of the new Captiva largely remains unaltered. The vertical headlamps, round shaped turn indicators and rear fog lamps, twin exhausts and skid plate adds a muscular flair to the Captiva facelift.
The 2012 Captiva gets a spruced up, better performing 2.2 litre turbo diesel motor that produces 184 bhp of maximum power. The performance of the new motor can be expected to better the outgoing model’s 2-litre, 148 bhp engine.
