General Motors unveiled the yet-to-be named ‘MPV’ which will bear the Chevrolet badge. The MPV is expected to hit showrooms around June. Initially, it will come with a 94.6bhp, 1.4-litre petrol engine. The 1.3-litre diesel engine will join the line-up towards the end of the year.
The MPV, which has rather neutral looks, will lure buyers with its ability to seat 7-8 people and we expect GM to price it aggressively. Should that happen, Chevrolet MPV, along with Ertiga, has the potential to create serious trouble for sedans in the Rs. 7-Rs. 10 lakh category.
