Citroen India has announced the prices for the new top-spec Citroen C3 Turbo Shine variant in the Indian market. The variant starts at Rs 8.80 lakh. The C3 Turbo also gets an entry-level Feel trim that gets a price tag of Rs 8.28 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. With the new launch, the Citroen C3 hatchback’s full line-up including naturally-aspirated engine variants is now RDE compliant.

Both Citroen Feel and Shine variants further get another option pack called Vibe pack for an additional Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 depending on the trim. The Vibe pack adds cosmetic enhancements to the C3 hatchback.
The updated 1.2-litre turbocharged Feel variant gets a three-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission was earlier the top-end spec variant of the hatchback. Now, the new top-end Shine variant comes with a less powerful 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine that generates a maximum power of 82 PS.

It gets additional features like adjustable wing mirrors, a rear parking camera, a manually adjustable day/night rearview mirror and front fog lamps. Citroen has also added 15-inch alloy wheels as standard to the variant and the rear wash and wipe with defogger is also standard on the variant now.
With a price tag of Rs 8.80 lakh, the new C3 1.2 Turbo is now about Rs 1.2 lakh more expensive compared to the standard naturally-aspirated variant. The C3 now also comes with the My Citroen Connect app that gets around 35 connectivity features. There are still a few features missing on the C3 Shine including the tachometer, push-button start-stop and automatic AC.

The Citroen C3, equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, will compete against the top-end variants of the Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis, as neither of these models offer a turbo-petrol engine. Moreover, at its price range, the C3 1.2 turbo will also compete against the base variants of compact SUVs like the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
