Citroen C5 Aircross is a premium SUV that will compete with cars like Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan in the segment. The C5 will be sold in Indian market as a CKD which means, it will be a bit more expensive than the rivals it is competing with. Here we have a video of Citroen C5 Aircross that shows how it performed in a moose test. In the first round, the driver has no idea idea on how the car would behave so, they have set the speed to 73 kmph. C5 Aircross enters the sections and smoothly changes the lane without any problem. The attempt which also was the best attempt was done at 79 kmph. The SUV smoothly changed directions even at that speed and did not hit even one cone on the road. Even at a speed of 81 kmph, Citroen C5 Aircross managed to clear the section without loosing control. As the speed kept on increasing, the SUV started hitting the cones but, it never felt unstable or out of control at any point of time.
The moment, C5 Aircross SUVs system detects that, it is encountering a dangerous situation, the hazard lamps start blinking. For an SUV of this size, the results were pretty good. The video says that, for an SUV with such soft suspension setup, C5 Aircross has done an impressive job. The ESC on the SUV kicks in every time and that is one of the reason why C5 Aircross remained stable in this test.
Citroen C5 Aircross will be available in two different variants and one engine option in India. There is Feel which is base variant and the Shine is the top end variant. The only difference between both the versions is all LED headlamps, Panoramic sunroof and Remote boot opener. Apart from that, all the features are the same in both SUVs.
