Comedian Kapil Sharma features a Cadillac SUV in his latest clip

Famous TV comedian Kapil Sharma is known for his quirky talks. The comedian recently released a spoof video of the popular Punjabi song ‘Brown Munde‘ and called it ‘Vehle Munde‘ or guys with no work. The actor shared the video and posted it on social media platforms.

While we will not talk about the new song, a Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum featured in the video caught our eyes. The video is not shot in India. He simply gets off the Cadillac Escalade and starts walking.

While there are several high-end Cadillac SUVs in India, this is the new fifth-generation model and we are yet to spot this vehicle in India.

2022 Cadillac Escalade

Manufactured by General Motors, the Cadillac Escalade is currently in its fifth generation and is known for its massive and premium road presence, thus making it one of the most desirable full-sized SUVs in the world. Measuring 5.5 metres in length, the Escalade is a three-row, eight-seater full-sized SUV primarily sold in North America.

The premium SUV is packed to the gill with features like leather upholstery, full-TFT wide driver’s cockpit including a wide and crisp instrument console and touch-sensitive infotainment screen, rear entertainment screens, Wi-Fi hotspot, panoramic sunroof, powered and heated front seats and 19-speaker Studio sound system. The SUV is also available with a wide range of ADAS features like lane-departure warning, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, front and rear pedestrian detection and more.

Powering the Cadillac Escalade is a massive 6.2-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, which happens to be the biggest engine used in a modern luxury SUV. Available with a four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic gearbox, this engine propels the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

Kapil Sharma owns a Mercedes-Benz GLS

Back in India, the comedian owns a GLS SUV that he bought earlier this year. Kapil Sharma owns the car with a special “0009” registration. The GLS 400D owned by him gets a price tag of Rs 1.16 crore, ex-showroom.

The SUV comes powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 330 PS of maximum power and 700 Nm of peak torque. There are other more powerful engine options as well. The GLS40 gets a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels through the Mercedes 4MATIC AWD system.

The diesel engine gets an extra boost from a mild-hybrid system that generates a maximum power of 22 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This allows the vehicle to use the extra power in overtaking or coasting for increasing the overall fuel efficiency.
