The off-roading event was organised at the Kannamkulam Arappukadu division under MMJ estate on Saturday. KSU says that the vent happened on the land given for agricultural purposes. The complaint filed by KSU says that the competition was organised against the mandates pertaining to plantation lands. Also, the organisers did not take any safety precautions and the competition was conducted in a hazardous way.
The complaint also states that the event organisers did not take due approvals and permissions before the event. The event was organised by Jeevan Memorial UKO and actor Binu Pappan also joined Joju during the off-roading session.
KSU and Joju have a history
Last year, when Congress staged a protest against rising fuel prices, Joju George was stuck in a traffic jam due to the procession. The actor then asked questions to the Congress workers. Following the episode, some party workers vandalised the car of Joju George and registered a complaint against him. However, the cops dismissed the case because of the lack of evidence.
Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Kerala also registered a complaint against Joju George last year in November due to a faulty registration plate. The actor replaced the high-security number plate (HSRP) of his car and attached a fancy registration plate instead.
The actor paid a hefty challan for the same. The MVD action happened after a Congress worker registered a complaint against the fancy registration plate on the car.
