The company also announced that the tyres will feature a new tread design which has been engineered to provide unparalleled control and performance on all terrains and wet road conditions.

Furthermore, these tyres can aid in providing reduced braking distances on wet roads. The company during the release also said that these tyres are already doing well in the international market and Continental now intends to repeat the same success in the Indian market.
Samir Gupta, Managing Director of Continental India said, “The CrossContact AX6 tyres are designed specifically keeping in mind the various conditions found both on-road and off-road. The tyres are highly suitable for markets like India, which feature various geographies, road conditions, and growing SUV demand. They are a perfect fit for any driver who spends most of their time on the road but requires more traction when heading off the beaten track.” He further added, “Markets across the globe have widely appreciated the CrossContact AX6 tyres, and we hope to see similar results in India”
The Continental CrossContact AX6 tyres come equipped with traction grooves and gripping teeth to keep the loose surface from slipping through the tread grooves. Additionally, the polymer structure that grips the road, owing to the Silica Tread Compound, provides exceptional traction and braking on wet and slippery roads. And according to the company, the sipped pattern on the tyres improves the tyre grip even more.
Furthermore, the big tread blocks and strong tread compound, of the CrossContact AX6 tyres contribute to minimising stone retention and prevention of cutting and chipping of tyres, resulting in great longevity and robustness. The revolutionary design also incorporates noise blockers in the tyre’s shoulder to prevent sound waves and superfluous noise created by the tyres, resulting in a smoother and quieter ride.
These tyres will be competing with the likes of some big-name brands like the MRF Wanderer A/T All-Terrain tyres, Michelin Primacy 4 ST tyres, Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 tyres, Michelin LTX Force tyres and lastly the Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres.
