The Ignis will be sold through the premium dealership of Maruti, the Nexa. Like the other vehicles of Maruti, the company will offer customisation option on the Ignis through iCreate. The iCreate will allow various customisation options on the Ignis at the dealer level. The Ignis will get customisable roof option that will enable the customer to put various graphics on the car. Other accessories include customised roofline spoiler, fog lamp garnish and front grille decal. Even the ORVMs of the vehicle can be customised to different colours.
Maruti also offers customisation option on the colour of the body cladding of the vehicle. There is an option to style the interior of the vehicle according to you choice too, where different colours can be applied to the dashboard and interior handles of the car. There are a host of other options including floor mats, seat covers, ambient lighting, boot mat, infotainment upgrade, rear seat touch-screen entertainment solution and designer kits for the car. Youngsters will love customising the vehicle whereas, there is no such option with the Swift.
Car for the smartphone generation
The Ignis is the first car from Maruti Suzuki that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay together. The tech-savvy generation will love getting connected to the smart infotainment system in the Ignis. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allows the users to use their phones without even touching the phone while operating the car. The Swift on the other hand only comes with Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity for the smartphones.
Safer than Swift
The Ignis will be sold through the premium Nexa dealership of Maruti. Just like all other cars that sell through Nexa, Ignis will get standard ABS and dual airbags across all the variants. Swift, on the contrary, gets airbags only as an option on the base variant while there is no provision to get ABS in the base variant. The Ignis gets three stars in NCAP safety test while Swift gets Zero stars on the base variant.
Cheaper than Swift
The Ignis starts from Rs. 4.69 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Swift base variant starts at Rs. 4.76 lakh. That’s 7 thousand cheaper than the Swift, and yet you get more features like ABS and airbags. Ignis also gets you more attention, more features and more options to play with than the Swift.
