Honda Brio facelift
The Brio is Honda India’s smallest car. The car has been on sale for 5 years now and there hasn’t been any major change or update in the car since. The facelift of the car has been revealed already however the Indian market is yet to get it. The vehicle has been brought in for homologation and is expected to launch soon.
The updates include a new front bumper and an improved interior trim like on the BR-V. We could also get the RS version that is on sale abroad. Under the hood, the same 1.2 liter petrol engine making 87 Bhp and 109 Nm is expected. Insiders have also told us that Honda is working on a diesel version of the Brio which will most likely launch with the facelift.
Hyundai Grand i10 facelift
The Grand i10 has received a facelift in the international market just today. The same is expected to reach our shores next year. The vehicle will make is debut at the Paris Motor show later next month. Styling changes include a new front grill which has round LED DRLs in addition to the fog lamps down below.
On the inside, the interiors have been spruced up and now features a new 7″ touch screen system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The engines are expected to be the same as the one in the current vehicle. Hyundai is already testing the new car in India. Another new change that is expected for the Indian market is the addition of an AMT to the line up.
Toyota Etios Liva
The Liva hasn’t been a really successful product for Toyota India. Though it is a very practical car and is extremely spacious and comfortable, the looks and the interiors didn’t really appeal to many.
A facelifted version has been revealed globally and is expected near the festive season this year. The vehicle now has an all new front end that looks very nice. Even the inside’s have been spruced up. But the central speedo remains however. The vehicle is most likely going to get a new touch screen system and share the steering wheel with the Corolla. We expect the same engines to continue even on the newer model.
Chevrolet Beat facelift
Chevrolet has confirmed that they will launch the all new Beat in India next year. Not only that, they will also launch a cross over version of the Beat, christened the Beat Activ as well. The new Beat will go on sale next year according to the statement made by GM.
The vehicle will get new headlamps, new grill and a redesigned bumper. On the inside, the dashboard will house a new 7″ touch screen system with MYLink infotainment system. Engine details are yet to be disclosed though.
Fiat Urban Cross
Fiat are currently doing whatever they can with the current product line up they have. The Urban Cross is basically an Avventura that lacks the rear wheel. Though we cannot understand the logic behind the product, the vehicle will be launched later this year itself.
The Urban Cross will have a new look grill, headlamp and bumper to differentiate it from the Punto and Avventura. It will come with the 1.4 liter engine from the Abarth and will hopefully also make 145 Bhp instead of the 125 on the Avventura.
Renault Kwid AMT
Renault last week launched the Kwid with a 1.0 liter engine. The main reason behind that was the fact that they wanted to bring out an AMT variant of the car.
We expect the car to come in near the festive season and given how competitively Renault has priced the Kwid 1.0, we are sure that the AMT will also be well priced. Visually, we don’t think there will be any change except the badging. On the inside, the gear lever is replaced by a knob that is placed on the dashboard now.
