COPYCAT bikes of Pakistan: From Bajaj Pulsar to KTM Duke

China has a thriving business of copycat cars and motorcycles that visually closely resemble their originals which are available in India. These copycat bikes find a thriving market in Pakistan, and there is a wide range of replicas. Let’s take a look at these copycat motorcycles that are on sale in Pakistan and figure out their originals.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 – Lion 150

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the only fully-faired motorcycle sold by the manufacturer in India. The stylish layered design of the bike has been copied by Chinese and they sell it as Lion. The motorcycle is powered by a 150cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It is priced at about Rs. 1.8 lakh INR.

KTM 200 Duke – Lion Rokk

This is another bike from the same manufacturer and it is a copy of KTM 200 Duke. The 200 Duke is quite popular among the youngsters due to its stylish body and powerful engine. The cloned Duke also gets the styling right, complete with the under seat exhaust but the engine is only 150cc. The output is not known.

Honda CBR 250 – YCR

The Honda CBR 250 is not available in India anymore after the stricter BS IV norms were implemented. However, in Pakistan, you can get a cloned version of the bike known as the YCR 150. The bike gets a complete full body Repsol paint job. It is also powered by the same 150cc engine.

Yamaha YZF-R15 – Conquer

Yamaha launched the updated, all-new R15 in India recently but Chinese have copied the previous version of the bike as Conquer and sells it in Pakistan. The bike is very popular among the enthusiasts due to its R1-inspired design, aggressive riding position and frugal engine. The bike is available with three engine options – 150cc, 200cc and 350cc in the Pakistani market.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 replica

Kawasaki Ninja 300 is one the best selling motorcycles from the brand in India. The fully-faired bike has been copied very closely with immaculate detail to the fairing and other parts of the motorcycle. The engine is 250cc, and there is dual disc brake set-up at the front of the motorcycle. It is also available in the dual colour paint scheme. It is a single-cylinder engine unlike the parallel-twin set-up available with the original bike.

BMW S1000RR replica

BMW S1000RR is known for its distinctive design. The bike gets asymmetric headlamps and shark gill inspired fairing makes it one of the most sought-after superbikes. The Chinese cloned bike gets a twin-cylinder engine but the displacement is not mentioned. The post also says that the bike is water-cooled. The cloned bike is available for around Rs. 3.2 lakh INR.

Ducati 848 – Warrior

The Italian bike maker Ducati has some iconic bikes and one of them is the 848. The Chinese have cloned this superbike too and have named it Warrior. The bike is powered by a 350cc electrically fuel injected twin-cylinder engine, which is water cooled. The bike even gets under seat quad exhausts. No information about the power output has been given.

Ducati Monster – Dragon

The Ducati Monster is known for its outrageous looks that include the exposed frame of the bike. Here is a replica based on the Monster and it is known as Dragon. The bike is powered by a single-cylinder 150cc engine and looks quite similar to the original Monster.

Hyosung Aquila Pro – Storm

The Aquila Pro is one of the lesser known bikes on this list. The cruiser bike has been copied and is sold as Storm in Pakistan. The bike is powered by a 250cc V-Twin engine. Most of the body panels look extremely similar to the Aquila Pro.

Yamaha YZF-R3 – Valentino

The Yamaha YZF-R3 has also been cloned by the Chinese and it is known as the Valentino. The bike is powered by 250cc or 350 cc fuel injected engine. Both the engines are water-cooled. The bike gets LED DRLs and looks very similar to the Yamaha YZF-R3.
