Shubman Gill, the right-handed opening batsman who plays for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023, is one of the newest and most famous names in the world of cricket. The 23-year-old has been playing magnificently on the cricket field, and he is also doing well off-field. Recently, the cricketer was seen posing like the popular superhero Spider-Man on top of a car after he arrived at the trailer launch of the animated movie “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”
The young cricket prodigy was at the Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” trailer launch because he is the voice behind the character of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in the Hindi and Punjabi versions. The actor was seen arriving at the event in a BMW 5 Series sedan in the video. Following his arrival, Shubman walked towards a parked Toyota Camry, and after stepping on the rear boot lid of the car, he climbed over the roof. He then struck the signature pose of the superhero Spider-Man and started posing like the iconic character.

A number of paparazzi swarmed around the cricketer and clicked pictures of him while he struck the pose. The actor looked dapper in his green shirt and white jeans at the event. After the pose, the actor then descended from the car’s roof and entered the theater where the trailer launch was scheduled.
Back in April 2021, the cricketer’s family took delivery of a Mahindra Thar, which was gifted to him and five other young cricketers for their exceptional performance by the Mahindra Group owner, Anand Mahindra. The cricketer had shared pictures of his parents and sister taking delivery of their all-new Thar on Twitter. The cricketer was not present to receive the delivery as he was busy playing in the Indian Premier League 2021. Shubman Gill received a black color LX hard top version of the Mahindra Thar.
In September of last year, on the occasion of his birthday, another legendary cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, shared a funny video of Shubman Gill driving his white Range Rover Velar in front of Yuvi’s house. While wishing Shubman a happy birthday on Facebook, Yuvraj Singh attached a video in which he was seen making fun of Shubman’s driving skills.
The video starts with a scene in which Shubman is driving his Range Rover Velar away from the camera, which then points towards Yuvraj Singh, who is standing outside his home in Mohali. Yuvraj then explains that instead of turning his SUV back and forth, Shubman goes to another lane and takes a U-turn, only to come back towards him. While saying this, Yuvraj makes fun of this moment, sarcastically saying that Shubman has ‘great’ driving skills.
As mentioned, the Land Rover Range Rover Velar that Shubman is driving belongs to him. He bought the SUV last year when the updated 2021 model range came out. The on-road price of the Velar is around Rs 1 crore. In India, Land Rover only offers the R-Dynamic S trim level. The Velar is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with a mild hybrid, generating a maximum power of 204 PS and peak torque of 430 Nm. The petrol variants are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit that generates a maximum power of 250 PS. Both engine options offer an 8-speed automatic transmission.
