Cricket is one of the most celebrated sports in India, and cricketers are also among the highest-paid sports persons. This is directly reflected in their lifestyle as well. Most of the players in the Indian cricket team have an impressive collection of expensive cars in their garages. Some of them are enthusiasts, while others prioritize comfort. Virat Kohli, the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, is one such player who is renowned for his performance on the ground and also for the cars he owns. The cricketer purchased a brand new Audi e-tron electric SUV in 2021 and the same SUV was recently spotted at Mumbai airport.
The video of this event has been shared by Cars For You on their YouTube channel. In the video, Virat Kohli’s Audi e-tron is seen arriving at the departure gate of the airport. The cricketer exits the car and is immediately surrounded by photographers, vloggers, and fans. He retrieves his luggage, poses for pictures and videos, and then walks towards the gate. Just before entering the airport, Virat poses for a couple more pictures. As usual, the video does not provide a detailed view of the electric SUV; the car is only visible in the video for a few seconds.
The SUV featured here is the Audi e-tron 55 electric SUV. If you have been following our website for a while, you might already know that Virat Kohli is the brand ambassador for Audi in India. The cricketer has several Audi models in his garage, and this is one of his recent additions. This variant is the top-of-the-line version of the electric SUV and features an all-wheel-drive layout with a combination of two electric motors. The combined power and torque output of the e-Tron SUV are rated at 402 bhp and 664 Nm. The 95 kWh lithium-ion battery of the e-Tron 55 offers a maximum driving range of 484 km. This specific variant of the SUV is priced at Rs 1.18 crore.
The car comes with features such as soft-close doors, a 360-degree parking camera, B&O 3D premium sound system, digital matrix LED headlamps with dynamic light staging, a head-up display, leatherette upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, multi-zone climate control, a massive panoramic sunroof, and more. Like any other electric car, the e-tron is both quiet and quick. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. Other cars from the Volkswagen group, such as the Porsche Taycan, also utilize the same 95 kWh battery pack. Charging the car from 0 to 80% using a 50 kW fast charger takes approximately 2 hours. The e-tron is equipped with an 11 kW AC charger from Audi that can charge the vehicle from 0% to 80% in 8.5 hours.
Apart from the e-tron, Virat also owns a red Audi e-tron GT RS. This electric GT car also features an AWD layout. When both motors are combined, they generate a maximum of 637 Bhp and 830 Nm of peak torque. It offers a claimed driving range of 472 km and costs around Rs 2.17 crore, ex-showroom. Additionally, he owns a Porsche Panamera, two Bentleys, a Range Rover Vogue, and a multitude of other luxury cars.
