Eimor customs is a popular motorcycle modification garage based out of hyderabad. We have featured many of their projects on our website in the past. The custom-built motorcycle used in Salaar movie is based on a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. Eimor customs used the older generation Thunderbird motorcycle for this project. Eimor customs in their post wrote, “The making of ‘SALAAR’ bike. This bike was commissioned by @hombalefilms films for @salaarthesaga . The challenge was the steep timeline. We had to literally stop all our ongoing projects and align ourselves to deliver the bike so as not to impact the shoot schedule. And it was being ridden by none other than superstar @actorprabhas. Here we are today, extremely honored and humbled to share this work with you.”

The video and the images do not show the stock images of the bike clearly. The motorcycle was completely stripped down. It looks like they were working on two bikes that look identical for the movie. Production houses often do this to ensure that the shoot doesn’t get interrupted even if one of the bike faces any issue. The fuel tank of the motorcycle was removed and was customised. The stock headlamp, turn indicators, front wheels and the tyres were all replaced. The rear sub-frame of the motorcycle was cusotmised and chopped to make it look short. The stock seat was also removed and the bike gets a chopped off rear fender too. The stock instrument cluster on this motorcycle have all been removed and an aftermarket unit has been installed in its place. The bike comes with chunky looking tyres and the engine cover and the whole area has been finished in black.

The side covers and panels were all customised and it looks like the side cover now gets a metal cage on it. The stock handle bar on this motorcycle was also customised. The bike also gets aftermarket tail lamps and custom made seat. All the chrome that we usually see in a Thunderbird is removed for this project. The whole motorcycle has been repainted. The bike gets silver shade for the tank and other panels. While the engine and the rims are all finished in black. The bike is given a matte black shade for a rugged look like the characted itself. The stock exhaust on this motorcycle has been removed as well. The bike now gets aftermarket exhaust.

The kick start on this motorcycle has been retained. The handlebar grips, gear and clutch levers, footrests were all customised for this project. Eimor Customs has done a brilliant job in customising this bike and the motorcycle is almost unrecognisable. At least it doesn’t look like the Royal Enfield Thunderbird anymore. The Thunderbird used here came with a 350-cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine generated 20.07 Ps and 28 Nm of peak torque. It was mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
