After Neeraj Chopra had won Gold Medal at the Tokyo Olympics this year, Mahindra Group’s chairman Anand Mahindra had announced that they will be gifting Olympian Neeraj Chopra with a brand new XUV700 SUV. Pratap Bose who is the newly appointed head of Design at Mahindra and Mahindra also hinted that they’ll be offering the Olympian a customised version of the all-new XUV700. Mahindra recently unveiled the all-new XUV700 and they also announced the price for the 5 seater petrol and diesel version. So far we don’t know how the customised XUV700 for Neeraj Chopra might look like but, here we have a render video that shows how it might look like.
The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. The artist does not make many changes to the overall design of the SUV. Mahindra XUV700 is a good and premium looking SUV. It will compete with cars like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus in the segment. As this is being designed as a custom made SUV for gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, the front grille including the all-new Mahindra logo which get a chrome finish have been given a golden shade.

This gives the SUV a unique look from the front. The headlamp cluster of the XUV700 also gets golden coloured accent on the inside. Coming down, the lower part of the front bumper gets a golden coloured garnish too. The chrome strip that is running on the lower part of the window has also been finished in golden colour. Along with the chrome window line the dual tone alloy wheels and the roof rails on the XUV700 have also been finished in golden colour.
The bonnet of the XUV700 get tri-colour flag design and similarly the ORVMs also get a similar design. The standard Blue shade of the SUV has been retained in this render. It should be noted that this is just a speculative render and the original SUV that would be gifted to the athlete might be entirely different from this.
Mahindra XUV700 is currently the most technologically advanced car in the segment. It offers several segment first features like Advanced Driver Assistance system which includes Automatic Emergency braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and so on. This is also the most powerful SUV in the segment.
Mahindra is offering XUV700 in both 5 and 7 seater version. It offers dual zone climate control, large panoramic sunroof, leather wrapped seats, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, electric parking brake, twin 10.25 inch screen on the dashboard and so on.
Mahindra XUV700 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that generates 200 PS and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is a 2.2 litre turbocharged unit generating upto 185 Ps and 450 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox options. Only the diesel version is currently available with AWD as an option.
