Maruti Jimny 4X4 Modified With ‘Little D’ Kit Looks Like A Mini Land Rover Defender [Video]
Everyone wants to own a Land Rover Defender; however, its Rs 1 crore starting price is what keeps away a lot of people. But there are some people who take a more unique way to get a Defender. This way is by modifying their Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUVs. Recently, a video showing one such Maruti Suzuki Jimny, which has been converted into a Defender look-alike, has been shared online. This SUV gets a badge of “Little D,” which translates to little Defender.

This video of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny conversion into “Little D” comes courtesy of Azad 4X4 from YouTube. From the overall glance at the SUV, it can be noted that the SUV has been given a ton of accessories. These off-road-specific accessories add to the rugged appearance of the already very capable Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
Modifications Done on this SUV
After the introduction, the presenter starts listing the modifications done on this SUV. At the front end, this Maruti Suzuki Jimny gets a classic Defender-inspired front grille with horizontal slats. It also gets additional PIAA jungle lights. These lights are generally added to off-road-specific cars to enhance their lighting.
In addition, this Jimny also gets a custom metal front bumper. This, according to the presenter, has also been inspired by the Defender. Lastly, it also gets a blacked scoop on the bonnet as well. From the looks of it, this bonnet scoop appears to be a functional modification.
Next up, we can observe that it also gets a sleek-looking snorkel as well. The presenter highlights that no holes have been drilled on the A-pillar to accommodate this functional snorkel. Additionally, to tie in the front end and the side profile, the SUV also gets Defender-styled ORVMs. The presenter adds that they also get LED turn indicators.
Other Modification
Following the exterior modifications of the front, the presenter highlights a major mechanical modification. She states that this Jimny gets a 2-inch lift. This suspension lift comes courtesy of Dobinsons and its MRR kit. It has also been given an Overland roof rack and two side carriers with a Jerry can for fuel.
Apart from these, the list of modifications on the rear includes a custom metal rear bumper. It also gets special tow hooks. Additionally, the car also gets a Defender-like ladder. It has been placed on the right side of the rear door. Additionally, the SUV also gets a set of custom LED taillights as well.
Interior Modifications
Next up, the presenter shows the interior of this particular Maruti Suzuki Jimny. It can be noted that the SUV does not get too many modifications on the inside. It looks generally the same. However, the presenter highlights that a few functional modifications have been added to the interior of this Jimny.
The first of the few features added are the two additional cup holders in front of the air conditioning vents. Next up, the company has also added a parcel tray on top of the instrument gauge cluster panel. Owners can keep their wallet, phones, and keys as the Jimny does not get a dedicated space in the middle.
