The Datsun Go-Cross Concept – a crossover based on the Go+ – will be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo next month. The vehicle was unveiled in 2015.
While it remains to be seen when the company decides to put the Datsun Go-Cross into production, the vehicle is likely to continue with the same engines as the other Datsun products in the country. Dimensions-wise it will continue with a sub-four-metre length, while the design benefits from rugged styling, addition of body cladding, and sharper elements. Added ground clearance will help its crossover stance while the said styling will help the vehicle move a little away from the whole budget-conscious image of the brand.
Another product that Datsun is likely to showcase at the 2016 Auto Expo is the RediGO. To be positioned below the current Datsun Go, the vehicle shares its platform with the highly successful Renault Kwid and is likely to be offered (not yet confirmed, though) with added features like an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
