Datsun RediGO Limited Edition launched: Maruti Alto 800 & K10 rival

A limited edition model of the Datsun RediGO entry level hatchback has been launched in India. Ex-showroom Delhi prices start from Rs. 3.58 lakhs for the 800cc variant and Rs. 3.85 lakhs for the 1 litre engined model.  Both versions take on the Maruti Alto 800 and Alto K10 models. The Limited Edition RediGO is available in 3 colours: White, Silver and Red. The Limited Edition car gets a host of visual changes to make it stand out, and look different from the regular versions of the RediGO. There are also changes on the inside, once again as major differentiating features between this car and the regular version.

The various exterior changes on the limited edition Datsun RediGO include a roof wrap, revised body graphics, bumper extensions at the front and rear, red insert for the front grille and new graphics for the hatchlid. On the inside, key changes on the car include red and black leather upholstery and revised colour accents on the AC vents. As for feature additions, the RediGo Limited Edition gets rear parking sensors, a satin chrome gear bezel, chrome inside door handles and carpet mats.

The RediGo’s 800cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine makes 53 Bhp-72 Nm and Nm while the 1 litre-3 cylinder motor makes 67 Bhp-91 Nm. Both engines get 5 speed manual transmissions as standard. These figures are comparable to that put out by the Maruti Alto 800 and K10 models. The larger engine also gets a 5 speed AMT option but this isn’t available on the Limited Edition variants. Again, the AMT option is similar to what the Maruti Alto K10 offers.
