Mercedes-Benz is one of largest luxury car manufacturer in India. They have a variety of models in their portfolio. In the SUV segment, Mercedes-Benz offers GLA as the entry level model. The price for this entry level compact luxury SUV from Mercedes-Benz starts at Rs 44 lakh, ex-showroom. People who buy such vehicles look for comfortable ride and features. People who buy such cars rarely opt for exterior modifications. As in any other case, there are exceptions here as well and if you are one such person, DC2 has a custom made wide body kit for your Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV.
The digitally rendered images of this modified Mercedes-Benz GLA with the wide body kit has been shared by DC2 on their Facebook page. Like many other body kits from the modifier in the past, this one also completely transforms the overall look of the car. In fact, it does not look like a GLA anymore. Many panels on this compact luxury SUV have been replaced with custom made units.

Starting with the front, the front grille, headlamps, bumper have been removed. This has been replaced with a custom made bumper at the front. It is an aggressive looking unit with grille that looks similar to the stock Mercedes one. Instead of the Three-Pointed Star logo, DC2 designs logo has been placed. There is a black coloured material behind the front bumper and grille with honey comb patterns in it. The bumper is also redesigned completely. It looks like the bonnet on this SUV will also be replaced as part of the modification. The headlamps on this SUV are now sleek looking three LED units that are placed next to the grille.
Coming to the side profile, the car gets large wheel arches that have a squarish design. The front fender on the stock unit has been completely replaced in this case. The wheels arches are flared and as this is a wide body kit, the new units increases the overall width of the car. There are side steps and a dual tone skirting which gives it a wider look. There is an air vents on the rear fender which gives it a sporty look. The original wheels on the Mercedes have been replaced with large wheels. In the render image, the wheels actually look too big for the car.
We are not sure whether DC2 would be installing such large wheels on a real car or this was done for illustration purposes. The side profile of the car only shows front doors of the SUV. The rear door handle is not seen anywhere in the pictures. As we move to the rear there is roof mounted spoiler which is actually built as part of the rear body kit. The tail lamps on this SUV have been completely redesigned. It now gets a large LED tail lamp strip that runs from one end to the other end of the boot. The rear bumper is also a custom made unit with honey comb design on it. There are chrome exhaust tips at the lower part of the rear bumper. We are not sure whether a person who is buying Mercedes-Benz GLA would be brave enough to do such modifications especially after spending over half a crore on a luxury SUV. We could be wrong and may be we find one of these on the road some day.
