Maruti Suzuki cars have offers up to Rs. 40,000 across some of its models this month. Here we take a quick look at the offers to see if they make the Maruti cars even better value for money. All prices mentioned below are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Biggest discounts on A-Star, Estilo and SX4
The slow selling models, A-Star and SX4 petrol are offered with the biggest discount in the form of a gift cheque worth Rs. 40,000. The A-Star base variant is in the price range of the Wagon R lower variants (LX and LXI). The discount makes the top-end A-Star VXI Automatic is Rs. 1.10 lakh cheaper than the Hyundai i10 Sportz automatic.
Coming to the SX4, the base variant is roughly Rs. 49,000 cheaper than the Honda City Corporate variant. Similarly, the SX4 ZXI variant is nearly Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the City V MT variant. Wagon R’s close sibling, the Estilo also gets Rs. 35,000 discount via a gift cheque.
Discounts on Alto and Alto K10
The largest selling small car in India, the Maruti Suzuki Alto gets a total offer value of Rs. 25,000 coming through a gift cheque. The Alto K10 also gets Rs. 30,000 off through a gift cheque. This makes the Alto siblings better value for money when compared with the Hyundai Eon.
For instance, through this offer, the base variant of Alto is nearly Rs. 60,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Eon D-Lite. Similarly, the Alto K10 VXi is about Rs. 26,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Eon Magna variant.
Wagon R now at Rs. 3.17 lakh
India’s largest selling tall boy hatchback, the Wagon R gets an offer of Rs. 30,000 coming through a gift cheque of Rs. 22,000 and a music system worth Rs. 8,000 which includes MP3/USB player and two speakers.
The offer makes the Wagon R LXI (Rs. 3.17 lakh) Rs. 41,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Santro GL Plus. The top-end variant, VXI gets an offer of Rs. 25,000 via gift cheque as the car comes with in-built music system and hence, the Wagon R VXI is Rs. 6,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Santro GLS.
Ritz cheaper than Figo
The Ritz petrol gets a total offer worth Rs. 30,000 via gift cheque. Hence, the Ritz base variant is only Rs. 5,000 dearer than the Figo (petrol) base variant. The top-end variant of Ritz, the ZXI is Rs.10,000 cheaper than the Figo Titanium making it slightly better value than the Figo.
