At the time of launch, the Mahindra Scorpio-N was announced only with the prices of manual gearbox-equipped variants for both petrol and diesel versions. However, the prices and availability of the automatic and four-wheel-drive variants were kept under wraps. While the prices of these additional variants will be announced on July 21st, Mahindra has revealed the availability of these variants across the trim levels through its brochure.
Contrary to what most people were believing, Mahindra has revealed that the four-wheel-drive variants of the Scorpio-N will be available with automatic transmission as well. In the brochure listed by Mahindra, we can see that the Scorpio-N will be available with a four-wheel-drive version with both manual and automatic transmission choices, but specifically with a diesel-powered option only.
While the four-wheel-drive diesel manual will be available with Z4, Z8 and Z8 L variants, the four-wheel-drive diesel automatic will be offered with Z8 and Z8 L variants. All these versions will come specifically with the seven-seater configuration and not the six-seater configuration with captain seats in the middle row. The higher variants of the Scorpio-N four-wheel-drive get 4XPLOR off-road drive modes as well.

In addition to this, the Mahindra Scorpio-N will also be offered with the automatic transmission across the rear-wheel-drive version. While the petrol-automatic combination will come in Z4, Z8 and Z8 L (both 6-seater and 7-seater) variants, the diesel-automatic combination is set to come in all variants from Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8 L (both 6-seater and 7-seater).
The Mahindra Scorpio-N was recently launched with the prices announced for rear-wheel-drive versions of petrol-manual and diesel-manual. The combination of petrol-manual is offered in Z2, Z4, Z8 and Z8 L variants, while the diesel-manual combination gets all these variants too, with the additional Z6 variant slotted between Z4 and Z8. In both combinations, the Z8 L variant gets both the options of six-seater and seven-seater configurations.
Starting with the petrol engine first, the Scorpio-N gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged 203 PS petrol engine, which produces 370 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual gearbox and 380 Nm with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Then comes the diesel engine, which is offered in multiple states of tune. In the Z2 diesel manual, the engine produces 132 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. In other variants, the diesel engine produces 175 PS of power, with 375 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual and 400 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
