Force Motors launched the Force One SUV in August, but there weren’t too many details about the specs and availability. CarToq called up dealers across 8 cities and put together the price and other details potential buyers.
Force Motors offer the One SUV in only one variant, and it is a 4X2 drive. The only choice given to the customers is in number of seats: six or seven. The second row of the Force One can thus be ordered with either two captain seats (with individual armrests) or three seats.
New variants of the One SUV, including the 4×4 variant and the ABS, airbags variant will be launched next year. The 4×4 variant is expected in March 2012, followed by the ABS & airbags variant.
The Force One resembles the Guangdong Foday Explorer III sold in China because the entire body-shell dies have been sourced from Foday. The Foday Explorer in turn is based on an older generation Ford Explorer and hence you’ll see many similarities with Ford’s design language.
Dealers and service network
Force Motors, which has been so far, a commercial vehicles maker, has, for the first time, forays into the passenger car space. With this foray into the passenger vehicles market, it is setting up a dealer and service network across the country.
CarToq had made a few random visits and calls to Force One dealers and found that showrooms are still not quite ready to handle customers for test drives etc. Hopefully, things should get better in the next couple of weeks.
So far, the company says Force One will be made available through 19 dealer showrooms located in Hyderabad, Patna, Goa, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calicut, Barshi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Agra and Ghaziabad.
These dealers will also have the service centers and spare parts for the SUV. For address details in your city, click here
