Diwali deals on best-selling cars in each segment!

There are cars that people want to buy and there are cars that manufacturers want people to buy. There are plenty of offers on the latter this Diwali season. But what about the ones everyone wants to buy? Dwsauto.com brings you a run-down of festival deals (or no deals!) on top three sellers in each segment.

Deals on Best-selling hatchbacks under Rs. 4 lakh

There are some deals on top-sellers here. Maruti Wagon R LX with a Rs. 14,000 discount and music system is a pretty good buy. As is Alto K10 LXI with a Rs. 10,000 off and a music system. Hyundai i10 too gets a healthy Rs. 23,000-25,000 off and that should please i10 buyers. For detailed analysis of hatchback deals click here.

Deals on Best-selling premium hatchbacks between Rs. 4-Rs. 7 lakh

Unfortunately, there is not much here. The No. 2 and No. 3 placed Hyundai i20 and Ford Figo offer benefits that would add up to around Rs. 15,000. And there are no deals on segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Deals on Best-selling compact sedans between Rs. 4-Rs. 7 lakh

There is some cheer for entry-level sedan buyers but only if you are interested in Tata Manza. The base variant Manza Aqua gets a hefty Rs, 45,000 off bringing down its price to Swift Dzire levels at Rs. 4.94 lakh. For more on the Manza deal click here. But Toyota (Etios) and market leader Swift Dzire have no offers.

Deals on Best-selling sedans between Rs. 7-Rs. 10 lakh

There was a great offer on Honda City but it expired on October 5. Hyundai is stretch for capacity on Verna and is offering no discounts. Volkswagen Vento has a “Breeze” edition that adds Rs. 40,000 worth of goodies but doesn’t offer any cash discounts.

Only Skoda Laura is offering a substantial discount (link here)—Rs. 1.5 lakh—on its petrol variants which actually have little bearing on its number 3 position in this segment. The number 2 seller Chevrolet Cruze offers a “token” Rs. 15,000 off while the leader Toyota Corolla Altis has no deals.

Conclusion

With the exception of the hatchback segment, there isn’t much on offer on cars that lead their respective segments in terms of sales. And, just in case, you have missed our earlier stories, a quick reminder that all these deals—barring Cruze—are only on petrol variants.
