Bigg Boss OTT Winner Elvish Yadav Arrested In Snake Venom Case, Sent To 14-day Custody

Elvish Yadav, a well-known YouTuber, Bigg Boss OTT winner and car enthusiast, was arrested by the police today, presented in court and sent to 14 days’ judicial custody in a case relating to snake venom under the Wildlife Protection Act.

We have featured Elvish Yadav several times on CarToq. He became famous after winning the Bigg Boss reality show. In the past, we featured Elvish Yadav’s car collection as well as when he drag raced a Mercedes E53 AMG against a Lamborghini Huracan.

Elvish Yaadav has recently been embroiled in multiple controversies. The snake venom case was filed against him following a raid at a rave party in Noida, where authorities recovered snakes and snake venom. Elvish has denied all allegation against him and said that there is no truth in them at all.

Yadav’s connection to the case surfaced during the questioning of five individuals who were arrested at the party. They reportedly revealed that they supplied snakes for parties organized by Yadav. The case has attracted attention due to the alleged illegal activities and the use of snake venom at parties, which raises significant health and legal concerns. A Delhi based animal welfare NGO, People for Animals (PFA) headed by former union minister Maneka Gandhi filed a complaint against Elvish and he was arrested following an investigation. After the arrest, Elvish was presented before the District & Sessions Court in Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, several snakes were seized from his property, all of which had their venom glands removed.

It seems that the party, for which Elvish is alleged to have provided the venom for, was a sting operation by People For Animals. During a forensic investigation, it seems that traces of cobra and krait venom were found in samples collected from the party. The party occurred in November 2023. Elvish Yadav was not personally present at the party.

Recently, Elvish was also in the news for an alleged attack on Maxtern, another YouTuber, which was caught on camera. Mextern filed a case against Elvish Yadav. The video of the attack had gone viral on social media last week.

After news of the arrest spread, Elvish Yadav’s fan’s have been posting their messages of support on X (formerly Twitter) under the hashtag #ElvishArmy.

His car collection isn’t extensive but includes several notable vehicles. The most expensive and interesting one seems to be the Porsche Boxter you can see in our featured image. The yellow convertible sports car was purchased as a used vehicle in early 2023. The Porsche Boxster comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 295 BHP and is rear-wheel driven. While specifics on the purchase price of the used Boxster are unclear, a new one costs about Rs 1.52 crore ex-showroom.

He owns a white Hyundai Verna, likely the previous generation model, which came with both petrol and diesel options. Elvish also has a Toyota Fortuner Legender, a sportier and more premium variant of the popular SUV, equipped with a 2.8-liter diesel engine.
