There are a host of exciting new launches lined up for the coming months, from hatchbacks to SUVs carmakers are set to go on a launching spree. Here’s a list of cars with their expected launch months.

Nissan Evalia

The Nissan Evalia is a large and spacious MPV but due to the lack of features and its boxy dimensions it will most likely gain more popularity amongst taxi fleet operators than private buyers.  It will be more spacious and comfortable than the Innova and Xylo. Renault Scala

The Renault Scala will be a badge engineered Nissan Sunny. Apart from exterior styling there will be no major changes on the Scala. It will also share the Sunny’s 1.5 K9K and HR 15 engines.

Tata Safari Storme

The Safari Storme was first seen at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. It has different styling, chassis, suspension, shorter turning radius and improved interior quality. New Maruti Suzuki Alto 800

Maruti plans to replace the iconic M800 with a new 800 cc Alto which will be built on the existing Alto platform. It will retain the same F8D, 800 cc engine that powers the present 800 cc Maruti Suzuki Alto.

The upcoming Ritz is a face-lifted model but has received minimal changes in terms of styling. It will get a new 1.2-litre K-series VVT petrol motor and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor from the new Swift. Sail sedan and hatchback

The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV has a van like design, with a decent overall appearance it is expected to be priced lower than the Toyota Innova but will also be less spacious. Mahindra Reva NXR

The Reva will have two power options: a lead-acid battery with 80 km range/80 kmph top speed and a lithium ion battery 160 km range/ 104 kmph top speed. Mercedes Benz B class

The Mercedes B-Class will appeal to buyers as a lifestyle vehicle. Those who want the premium brand imagery that comes with the three-pointer star will buy it. New Honda CRV

The CR-V is in desperate need of both a diesel engine and a face lift. The new CR-V will get a 2-litre i-Vtec engine that puts out 153 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque and a 2.2 iDtec diesel engine that puts out 148 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Mahindra Verito CS

December 2012

The Mahindra Verito CS was expected to be launched first but Mahindra launched the face lifted Verito first. The CS will now be a shorter sub-four meter version of the new Verito. It will also be cheaper because of its shorter length. Read more: Upcoming Mahindra Verito CS

Mahindra Rexton

Tata Manza CS

The Tata Manza CS is going to be a cheaper version of the Manza sedan. It will have a smaller boot but will likely retain the spacious interiors of the Manza sedan.

Ashok Leyland Stile

The Stile is a rebadged and re-styled Evalia. The Style will be popular as a commercial vehicle as it comes from Ashok Leyland’s stable while the Evalia still has a chance as a personal vehicle.

Ford EcoSport

The Ford EcoSport will compete with cars like the Renault Duster and the Chevrolet Trax. Ford will likely price it competitively in the Rs. 7.4 lakh to Rs. 10.5 lakh range.
