The MG Hector will be the first car from the brand and a few features of the car were officially unveiled too. However, before the official unveiling, we have received exclusive information about the variants and features of the vehicle through our allied sources. Here are all the details about the upcoming MG Hector.

MG Hector will be available in four trim levels – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp and thirteen variants. The Style will be the base variant of the lot while the Sharp variant will be the top-end variant. All four trims will get both petrol and diesel engine options. However, the hybrid and automatic options are only available with certain variants.

Coming to the engine options. The MG Hector will get a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 143 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm. The diesel variants will get the 2.0-litre engine option that generates a maximum of 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. The diesel engine option is only available with a manual transmission but is available with all the four trim levels. The petrol engine gets a 6-speed manual transmission option which is available with all the four trims. MG, for the first time, will also offer a 48V hybrid system with the Hector. The hybrid system will only be available with the manual transmission option. Only the Super, Smart and Sharp trims will get the option. There is also a dual-clutch automatic transmission available with the Hector. It will be available only with non-Hybrid variant and with the Smart and Sharp trims, which are the top trim levels.

The all-new Hector will be available in five colour options. There will be Candy White and Aurora Silver that will be available with all the four trims. The Starry Black and Burgandy Red will only be available with the Super, Smart and Sharp variants while the flagship Glaze Red colour will be available only with the top-end Smart and Sharp trims.

Style variant

The base level Style variant will get 4-speakers, dual front airbags, rear armrest with cup holders, fabric seats, driver armrest, cooled glove box, ISOFIX seat mounts, 60:40-second row seats, central armrest, rear AC vent, fast charging USB port, rear seat recline, reverse parking sensors, all four disc brakes, ESP. TCS, VSM, Hold Hold Control, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, LED turn indicator on the ORVM and roof rails as standard.

Super variant

In addition to all the features in the Style variant, the Super variant offers a 10.4-inch touchscreen system with the internet connectivity SIM, cruise control, LED tail lamps, chrome door handles in the cabin, rear parking camera and LED rear fog lamps.

Smart variant

In addition to all the features available with the Super variant, the Smart variant gets additional features including internet connectivity through eSIM, 8-speaker system with subwoofer, online real-time navigation, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, 7-inch MID, 6-airbags, push-button start-stop with smart key, remote car operation through a smartphone, PU leather seats, electrically 6-way adjustable driver seat, electric hand brake with the Automatic version and power adjustable and foldable ORVM.

Sharp

The top-end Sharp variant gets all the bells and whistles. It gets extras like the panoramic sunroof, sunglass holder, heated ORVMs, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, 4-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, mood lighting in 8 colours and 360-degree camera.
