While those who were awaiting the prices of the vRS have to continue to wait for 2 more days, a leaked brochure now confirms all the information we have brought you before.
The vRS will be powered by a 2.0 liter TSI engine making 226 Bhp and 350 Nm. The vehicle will come with a 6-speed DSG. It has a fuel economy figure of 14.45 kmpl, according to the ARAI test. It will require 95 RON fuel as well. Unlike what was reported earlier, the Octavia vRS will only be offered as a front wheel drive offering. It will have a ground clearance of 141 mm under normal conditions and 103 mm under laden conditions.
It will come with 17″ alloys, will get the RS body kit, LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, electronic differential lock, multi collision braking, front and side airbags, front and rear parking sensors with auto park, keyless go, sun roof, 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s and passenger seat, Amundsen navigation system with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Mirror link, LED ambient lighting with programmable lighting, Alcantara leather sports seats and a rear view camera.
Like we mentioned before, the vehicle will be offered with 4 colour options.
Pricing details will only be known when the model is launched on the 1st of September. The vehicle was to be launched today, however due to the massive rain that Mumbai saw yesterday, the event has been pushed to 1st September instead. It is believed that the vRS will be offered as a limited edition option and not as a standard model. Bookings have already begun for the vehicle with deliveries slated to start sometime in September.
