Indian car market is still developing and the exotic imported vehicles are still extremely expensive to buy and maintain. However, there are many enthusiasts with deep pockets who ensure that such vehicles are imported to India and are seen on the roads. However, due to the unavailability of the spare parts and quality labour, many of such imported vehicles are abandoned on the roads. Here are ten such examples of the exotics abandoned on the roads.

Hummer H2 is very uncommon on the Indian roads. The Hummer is American army’s official vehicle and is a very brute looking SUV. There are quite a few examples in India and most of them are on the roads. However, there are a few which have been abandoned just like this one. This picture comes from South India where the Hummer H2 has been left to die alone on the side of a road.

Rolls Royce cars are built for life and it is a matter of fact that almost 90% of the Rolls Royce cars ever made are still functioning and ply on the roads. However, there are a few unlucky ones that are stranded by the owners. Here is a Silver Spur II, which is a classic Rolls Royce that has been dumped by the owner. The Silver Spur was quite a rage in the 1980s and was a status symbol.

Audi A8 L

The Audi A8 L is the flagship vehicle of the brand and the model seen abandoned here is the most powerful variant of the luxury saloon powered by a massive 6.3-litre W12 engine. The latest generation Audi A8 L W12 costs a whopping Rs. 2 crores in India and the car seen abandoned here the last generation version of the same. One of the reasons for abandoning the W12 powered A8 is the engine itself. The W12 engine came up with problems every now and then and maintaining them becomes an expensive affair, especially after the warranty period.

Mercedes-Benz S600

At present, the S600 version of the S-Class is sold under the Maybach moniker. This is an older generation S600 luxury saloon that has been abandoned by the owner at a basement. The saloon can be seen gathering dust in the basement. The S600 was the flagship sedan of the brand and offered extremely luxurious features including rear seat massager.

Lexus LX

Lexus made official debut in the Indian car market last year. It is the premium brand owned by Toyota and offers a range of luxury SUVs, sedans and sports cars. Seen here is a 2005 Lexus LX SUV that has been left to die at a police compound. The Lexus can be seen sharing space with other luxury cars like Bentley and Land Rover Range Rover in the picture.

Porsche Panamera S

The Porsche Panamera is the first-ever four-door sports grand touring vehicle from the German brand. Seen here is the Panamera S version, which is the high-performance variant of the model. The vehicle can be seen lying in a yard and getting rusted away. It is not known why the vehicle was abandoned and looks quite good visually.

Bentley Continental GT

Bentley Continental GT is a performance luxury grand touring car. This Haryana registered black coloured Bentley has been abandoned at a police station. The vehicles were seized from thieves but it seems that no one came ahead to claim the vehicles or the theft case never reached a judgement. In India, the cars are not released until the case is solved or a judgement is passed on the same. It can be a similar case.

BMW 5-Series

The rear seat of the S-Class is nothing less than a lounge on wheels. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class seen here does not have a front bumper. The air suspension also seems to have collapsed at the rear. Even though the rest of the vehicle looks fine, the missing bumper, collapsed air suspension plus a layer of dust on the car.

Jaguar XJ L

The Jaguar XJ looks extremely classy and sophisticated with its beautifully flowing body lines and a sleek face. The popular sedan is used by a lot of important people around the world including the British Prime Minister. The Jaguar XJ L seen here is in a pretty bad condition. The logo of the vehicle has been removed, the tyres punctured and headlamps are absent. Possibly, the window glass is broken too.
