Ford India has just launched the facelifted Figo Aspire – India’s most powerful compact sedan. Before we get into the details of what makes the facelifted Figo Aspire the country’s most powerful sub-4 meter sedan, here’s pricing details. The facelifted Figo Aspire starts from Rs. 5.55 lakhs ex-showroom India, for the base Ambiente 1.2 Petrol variant going all the way up to Rs. 8.15 lakhs for the top-end 1.5 Diesel Titanium+ variant. These prices make the new Aspire slightly cheaper than the best selling Maruti Dzire, whose prices start from Rs. 5.56 lakhs. Bookings are now open, and deliveries of the new car will start right from today.
Now, coming to why the Ford Figo Aspire Facelift is India’s most powerful compact sedan, the automatic variant packs in a 1.5 liter-3 cylinder Dragon petrol engine borrowed from the EcoSport. This motor makes 123 Bhp-150 Nm, making the Figo Aspire Facelift the most powerful car in its class. A 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox accompanies this motor, and fuel efficiency is rated at 16.3 Kmpl.

A new 5 speed manual gearbox accompanies this motor. The diesel engine is the usual suspect – the 1.5 liter TDCI mill with 98.6 Bhp-215 Nm. The diesel engine also gets a five speed manual gearbox as standard. While the 1.2 liter petrol delivers a mileage of 20.4 Kmpl, the diesel offers 26.1 Kmpl.
The facelifted Figo Aspire gets a host of changes, both on the outside and inside. The changes on the outside include a new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, revised alloy wheel design, and new fog lamp housings. On the inside, the dashboard gets a makeover with the addition of a new touchscreen infotainment unit. The colour scheme on the inside is also refreshed. All variants get twin airbags, ABS+EBD, power steering and air conditioning as standard. 5 year/100,000 Kms warranty is standard.
