Facelifted Tata Nexon transformed into an off-roader: Render

The Tata Nexon sub-4 meter compact SUV is one of the popular choices in the segment. The Nexon recently received a facelift, and looks much more SUVish now. It competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and the upcoming Kia Sonet SUV in the segment. The Nexon is one of the safest car in its segment with a 5-star rating at Global NCAP crash test. We have also seen several modifications and render images of the Nexon in the past and here we have another similar render that depicts the SUV as an off-roader.

These images have been shared by an artist on Facebook. The Nexon seen in the image is actually a render and not an original car. There re number of modification done to Nexon to make it more off-road friendly. Starting from the front, the headlamp, DRLs, turn indicators and grille remain the same in terms of design. The only noticeable change inside them is that they now get a smoked effect in them. The major modification up front however is the huge metal off-road bumper itself. This bumper has a pair of auxiliary lamps and an electronic winch installed on it.

The side profile of the car remains the same and the only noticeable change here are the aftermarket alloy wheels and rugged off-road tyres. Similarly at the rear, the changes are subtle and the car gets a metal off-road bumper at the rear as well. The artist has not gone wild with the number of modifications and has only made changes that necessary to make it look like an off-road ready vehicle. The overall design of the Nexon remains untouched and still has the factory paint job, headlights and tail lights in it. The render looks very neat and gives Nexon an aggressive off-roader look.

Tata Nexon is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2 litre turbocharged unit and the diesel version uses a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine. Both the engines are now BS6 compliant and come with manual and AMT gearbox options. The petrol engine makes 110 Bhp-170 Nm while the diesel produces 108 Bhp-260 Nm. The diesel engine is the pick of the lot for driving enthusiasts.
