The popularity of electric cars is on the rise in the Indian market. While manufacturers like Tata offer affordable EVs, even luxury carmakers like Mercedes have entered the market with their own versions. Some have even imported electric vehicles to India. Notable figures in India have also embraced electric vehicles and can frequently be spotted driving them on the roads.

The Kia EV6 was introduced a few months ago with a starting price of Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom). As Dhoni’s first electric car, it joins his collection, which typically includes several classic cars and motorcycles.

The Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India was recently spotted with a new BMW iX electric SUV. BMW launched the iX electric SUV in India a year ago, priced at Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom). The vehicle is a completely built unit with a claimed driving range of 425 km on a single charge, provided to Gadkari by BMW India.
