Mitsubishi recently launched the Pajero Sport 7-seater at the price of Rs. 23.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Pajero Sport looks contemporary and feels more up-market than the outgoing Pajero. Unlike the segment leader; Toyota Fortuner which comes in both 4×2 and 4×4 variants, the Pajero Sport comes in only one variant, the 4×4 diesel manual.
The is powered by a 2.5-litre, common-rail diesel motor that puts out 178 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and comes with a Super Select 4WD system for off-road activities.
The interiors of the Pajero Sport have dual tone beige-black interiors. It features seven seats arranged in the 2+3+2 pattern. The middle row of seats can be split 60:40 while the third row of seats have a 50:50 split option.

In-car entertainment: The Pajero Sport comes with a conventional CD/MP3 music player but also sports a USB port in the glove box. The music system is connected to six speakers (including two tweeters).
Multi-information display: The Multi-information display of the Pajero Sport is located on the central console and sports a digital clock, calendar, compass, outside temperature, altimeter, barometer, audio information, average fuel information, speed and driving range.
Rear parking sensors: The Pajero Sport has rear parking sensors. The parking sensors act as a warning system and guide the driver while reversing the SUV especially in tight spaces.
Power-adjustable driver seat: The power adjust driver seat and tilt adjustable steering help in finding the perfect driving position.
Accessory sockets: Mitsubishi offers two accessory sockets. The first socket is found in the central console for front row passengers while the second socket found in the floor console is for the middle row passengers.
