6 friends buy Fiat Punto Abarth at the same time, get great deal!

As per Camitesh, he shortlisted Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Honda City and Ford Freestyle diesel before booking the Abarth Punto. The vehicles were booked on 18th January 2019 and were delivered on 8th February 2019.

Five out of six buyers are from Pune and all of them are hardcore Fiat fans. Even though there is a huge discount available on the Abarth Punto, the group decided to buy the vehicles for the love of the Abarth’s performance and the Fiat brand. Also, many of these buyers are previous customers of Fiat cars and already own various vehicles like the Punto, Linea and the Palio.

These vehicles were manufactured in October 2018. Fiat only releases the combined sales data of all the Abarth vehicles in India and as per the data, not a single vehicle was dispatched in December and January.

Fiat is offering a massive discount on the Abarth Punto due to its low popularity in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price of the of the Fiat Abarth Punto in Mumbai is Rs. 9.51 lakhs but with the discount, the new ex-showroom price is only Rs. 7.5 lakhs. It gets a whopping Rs. 2 lakh discount. The on-road price as per the post is Rs. 8.65 lakh, which makes it cheaper than the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS. The owner also installed a reverse camera and floor mats in the vehicle and the stock tyres were replaced with Continental MC5 with 205 profile section.

The Fiat Abarth Punto is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an intercooler. It generates a massive power of 145 bhp and a peak torque of 212 Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It can reach 0-100 km/h in just 9.3 seconds, which is quick for a sub Rs. 10 lakh car.

If you are in the market looking to buy this car and get such a huge discount, you can probably try your luck. Officially, Fiat is offering a heavy discount of the Abarth Punto. According to a few reports, Fiat brand may exit from India in the coming months. However, Fiat is yet to give an official statement on the same. Even if the brand exits from the market, they are likely to maintain their service network for the existing customers in the market, which will ensure that they honour the warranty and the spare parts are available. The Jeep brand, which is under the Fiat umbrella will be fully operational in India.
