Kia EV6 electric car: Video of first delivery in India is here

Kia EV6 came to the Indian market earlier this year. However, the deliveries of the only electric car of the South Korean manufatcurer has started recently. A few days ago, a report suggested that as many as 152 customers have received the delivery of their brand new Kia EV6. This is the first delivery video of the Kia EV6.

Kia introduced the all-new EV6 as its first and only electric car in India. Currently, Kia imports the EV6 as Completely Built Unit (CBU) and planned to sell about 100 unots in India. However, Kia received an overwhelming response with over 355 bookings on the day of its launch.

The new Kia EV6 has entered the crossover SUV market with a long-range, zero-emissions powertrain, 800V ultra-fast charging, and a stunning aesthetic package. On the design front, Kia has given the EV6 some sleek looking DRLs in the front along with a pair of LED headlights. The lights also amalgamate into the car’s digital tiger face, a design development that is similar to Kia’s electrified tiger-nose grille. Moving a little further below, an air intake visibly expands the front of the car. Kia will offer the EV6 in five colours. There is Yacht Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Runway Red, Snow White Pearl and Moonscape

Kia has crafted the interior of the EV6 with a similar intricacy as the exterior as well. On the inside, the EV6 gets an all-black color with black suede seats with vegan leather bolsters. The Kia EV6 comes with 64 colour ambient lighting, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, vegan leather-wrapped steering wheel, anti-glare rearview mirror, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, sporty alloy pedals, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, multiple drive modes, smart key, push-button to start/stop, 10-way adjustable driver seat with memory function and much more.

It also gets paddle shifters for brak regeneration, connected car features, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, LED headlamps with adaptive driving beam, dual 12.3-inch curved screens, Shift by wire, rain-sensing wipers etc.

Single battery pack option

Kia offers the new EV6 with a single 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a maximum range of 528 km on the WLTP cycle. The battery supports ultra-fast charging that adds 100 km to the range in just 4.5 minutes. It takes about 18 minutes to charge the battery of the Kia EV6 from 10% to 80% using the 350 kW fast charger. While using a 50 kW charger, charging takes about 73 minutes.

The RWD single motor unit packs 225 Bhp and 350 Nm while the AWD version offers 321 Bhp and 605 Nm. Kia claims that the EV6 can do 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

Kia is currently charging a whopping Rs 3 lakh to book the EV6. There is a cancellation charge of Rs 50,000 if the customer decides to cancel the booking and get the money back.
