Ford uses one of the most advanced car infotainment systems in the world. Ford’s SYNC applink based infotainment system that is available with many Ford cars has received an update. With the new update, Ford SYNC devices now get 5 new apps that make the integration with c0mpatiable smartphone very easy.
The new additions to the SYNC AppLink catalogue include well-known music streaming service provider Hungama, news aggregator InShorts, weather forecast services provider AccuWeather, and parking locating app Pparke. In addition, MapMyIndia has updated its SYNC AppLink-enabled app to include new voice and textual directions to a destination of choice.

The new apps include a music app called Hungama Drive that can provide seamless music without touching the smartphone. The app can also be controlled via voice commands. Ford has also added the popular short news streaming app, InShorts. The app provides short news that can keep the Ford owners up to date with the latest happenings in the world. The InShorts app can also be controlled through voice command to get customised news feed.
The SYNC also gets Maps by MapMyIndia that can show the routes without the need for a smartphone. Popular weather channel, AccuWeather has also been added. The AccuWeather can show estimated water for next 5 days that can keep Ford owners prepared for the journeys ahead.
For the people who often find parking their cars stressful, there is a new app called Pparke. The app identifies the closest parking lot but also provides full address, distance from the current location, number of parking spots available and the price to park.
