Ford Aspire Blu edition launched in India

Ford India has launched a limited edition of Aspire sedan in India, which gets an added list of features. The Aspire is the Ford Figo hatchback based sedan that takes on the likes of Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Dzire in the Indian market. The Blu edition of the Aspire is available with the Titanium variant. The manual version of the Aspire is available at Rs 7,50,900 for the petrol variant and Rs 8,30,900 for the diesel variant. All the Blu edition Aspire is available in three shades – White, Moondust Silver and Smoke.

The Blue edition of the Aspire gets a black mesh grille surrounded by a black front grille surround. The car also gets a dual-tone colour that sets it apart from the rest of the vehicles in the market. The vehicle also gets blue coloured highlights surrounding the fog lamp housings placed in the front bumper. The sedan also gets different alloy wheels that are much sportier than the alloy wheels available with the regular variant of the car. The all-black 15-inch alloy wheels add an aggressive look to the sedan too.

On the inside, the Aspire Blu offers leather-wrapped steering wheel with blue highlights all over. There are features like push-button start/stop, rear parking sensors, USB slots among the other features.

The Aspire gets powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant gets powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that generates a maximum power of 96 PS and peak torque of 120 Nm. It delivers maximum fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/l according to the ARAI tests. The petrol engine is also available with an optional automatic transmission.

The diesel variants of the Ford Aspire get the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 100 PS and peak torque of 215 Nm. It is the most powerful diesel engine in the segment and is only available with a manual transmission. According to the ARAI certificate, the Aspire diesel returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 26.1 km/l.

The Ford Aspire gets a host of safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) that ensures optimum grip at all the time. The new Aspire also features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, remote central locking, automatic climate control system and power windows on all the four doors. The Aspire gets first-in-segment five-year of 1 lakh km warranty that includes 2-year factory warranty and 3-year extended warranty.
