Ford Aspire facelift new TVC out

Ford had launched the new updated model of its popular sub compact sedan Aspire this month. The car starts from Rs. 5.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base Ambiente 1.2 Petrol variant and goes all the way up to Rs. 8.15 lakhs for the top-end 1.5 Diesel Titanium+.  variant. Ford has released a new TVC showcasing the main features after the update. Let’s see what is new in the TVC.

The TVC starts with the Aspire being shown from various angles with focus on particular elements. This actually shows the main changes and improvements the new car has. This is followed by an upbeat soundtrack in the background adding more feel to the advert. The TVC then progresses into the Aspire being driven on twisty road. Then again, the focus is shifted towards the updates made on the car.

The TVC shows single shots of various updated car parts like the chrome lined honeycomb grille, new chrome fog lamp housing, cool looking R15 alloy wheels and premium updated interiors along with a new floating touchscreen infotainment system. The TVC then focuses on the Aspire’s power and driveability as it is seen cruising along highways and taking sharp bending turns. It also shows the new transmission which is a five speed manual affair.

The Aspire’s new style and stance is prominent majorly throughout the advert. The TVC then continues with breathtaking ariel as well as ground shots of the aspire with dialogue box telling the major improvements. This includes the new Sync 3 entertainment system, 6 airbags and 5 years of offered warranty with the car. The TVC then ends with Ford’s signature blue insignia.

Talking about the technical specifications of the car, the Ford Aspire is India’s most powerful compact sedan.  The automatic variant of the car has a 1.5 liter-3 cylinder Dragon petrol engine borrowed from the EcoSport under its hood. This motor makes 123 Bhp of power along with 150 Nm of torque, making the Figo Aspire Facelift the most powerful car in its class. A 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox accompanies this motor, and fuel efficiency is rated at 16.3 Kmpl.  Other engine options include a 1.2 liter-3 cylinder Dragon petrol unit with 95 Bhp of power and 120 Nm of torque. It is an all-new unit that made its debut with the Ford Freestyle. It is mated to a new 5 speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine is the a 1.5 liter TDCI mill with 98.6 Bhp of power and 215 Nm of torque.
