The EcoSport looks a lot like the Global Fiesta Sedan from the inside and this parts sharing will also help Ford keep its price under check. The EcoSport has dark interiors like the Fiesta and in these images it does look a little low on space. The SUV is going to be a sub-4-metre vehicle to enjoy excise duty sops.
The EcoSport petrol will sport a 3-cylinder 1.0L EcoBoost engine that makes 190 bhp of power. The diesel version will likely get the 1.5-litre TCDi motor that powers the Fiesta diesel. This engine puts out just 90 bhp of power and 204 Nm of torque. The engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
