The Ford EcoSport facelift, which was launched late last year in the Indian market, saw the omission of the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. All this will change as Ford will launch a sportier version of the car in the Indian market in the form of Titanium S, replete with the 1 litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine. The sub-4 meter compact SUV has been spotted quite a few times in India. Ford will launch the EcoSport Titanium S and the Signature Edition in the Indian market and according to a new report, both new variants will be launched on the 14th of May.
The Ford EcoSport Titanium S will become the most expensive variant of the EcoSport in the Indian market. It will get a few visual updates in the form of newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, HID headlamps and a tweaked instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch information display. The EcoSport S will also get segment-first Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
On the outside, the EcoSport S will be distinguished by its dual colour body with contrasting roof and de-chromed grille. It will also get smoked headlamps and tail lamps for a sportier look. On the inside, the EcoSport S will get coloured inserts on the door handles, seats, dashboard and door trim. It will also introduce a new orange shade.
The EcoSport Signature Edition will also be launched simultaneously. It will be based on the Titanium+ variant but will get many updates. To start with, the Signature Edition will get 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic stability control and hill-start assist. Visually, it will get a new rear spoiler, smoked headlamps, tail lamp and fog lamps. The Signature Edition will also get a unique blue shade with matching interiors and the ‘Signature’ moniker.
The Signature edition will continue to offer the 1.5-litre diesel and the new 1.5-litre Dragon petrol engine. The EcoSport S will get the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates around 125 Bhp. The EcoSport S also gets sharper suspension and steering set-up.
