The Ecosport has been a popular vehicle for Ford since it launched. However, with the passing of time and the coming up of new competition, the vehicle has begun to show its age. Though there is an all-new Ecosport coming our way soon, the company has decided to update the existing one before bringing out the new one comes, to keep customers coming into their dealerships.
For the 2017 model year, the main change that you will see on the Ecosport is the change in the infotainment system. While the company has been using the older SYNC system till now, there will finally be an all-new touch screen system on offer, something that the Ecosport has been missing for a really long while. This has been added to the top of the line Titanium+ variant and the price of the car has increased by Rs 20,000 for this addition. The system is an 8″ one and comes with a DVD player, a rear view camera, navigation, bluetooth and door ajar warning.
While this has been added, a few things have also been deleted from the new version. So you now miss out on the driver seat armrest, lumbar support, cooled glove box, leather wrapped handbrake and gear knob and chrome scuff plates. The storage box below the passenger seat is now available on only the top-end trim level.
The Trend varaint in addition to this will lose out on reclining rear seats, rear defogger, vanity lamp. driver seat height adjust, 60/40 split rear seat and rear wiper. The Trend + version will get black roof rails, as opposed to the silver ones which were previously on offer and will also lose out on the 60/40 split rear seat and the reclining function of the rear seat.
Prices for the all-new version:
Diesel Titanium+ : Rs 10.19 lakhs, petrol (1.0 liter Ecoboost) Titanium+ : Rs 9.89 lakhs.
