Ford has announced the prices of their BS6 models including the Figo, Aspire and the Freestyle in the Indian market. The Figo hatchback is priced at Rs 5,39 lakhs while the Aspire gets a price tag of Rs 5.99 lakhs. The Freestyle cross-hatchback is priced at Rs 5.89 lakhs. With the BS6 emission compliance norms, the Figo is priced Rs 16,000 higher, while the entry-level Freestyle is priced Rs 2,00 more. Surprisingly, the price of the Aspire sedan remains the same.
Comparing the price of the diesel variants of the new cars, the Figo diesel is Rs 26,000-Rs 30,000 more expensive than the BS4 compliant car while the versions of the Ford Aspire are now pricier by Rs 12,000. The top-end versions of the Aspire and Freestyle sedan are cheaper than the BS4 variants. Ford has reshuffled the line-up with the introduction of the BS6 compliant vehicles.

All the three cars remain powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. With the BS6 upgrade, the torque output of the petrol engine has reduced marginally but the power output remains the same. The 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine now produces a maximum power of 96 PS and 119 Nm instead of 120 Nm. The power and torque output of the 1.5-litre diesel engine remains unchanged. It still produces the same 100 PS and 215 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options get the 5-speed manual transmission. Ford has not announced the mileage figures of the vehicles yet.
With the new BS6 compliant models, Ford has said that the features have changed too. However, the exact details of the features are not known. Ford is also offering the FordPass at no additional cost with all the BS6 compliant ford cars. It is a new connectivity solution for Ford cars and customers will be able to communicate with their vehicles in real-time through the smartphone application. Features like locking, unlocking, fuel level, distance to the empty and remote location of the vehicle will be available to the customers through the app.
