Ford will launch the all-new facelifted version of the Figo on the 15th of this month. The company launched the facelifted Aspire last year and ever since then, the wait for Figo facelift was going on. Apart from refreshing the car, Ford has made another interesting move this time, which is to introduce a special sporty variant of the Figo called as Figo Blu. If one would remember, the company earlier sold a Sports version of the Figo which was then discontinued. The Blu variant will be the Sports version in this facelift. The video below by Insideout India shows the Figo Blu in its full glory.
The Figo Blu will only be available in the top of the line Titanium variant. It will get new black alloys, blue detailing on front and rear bumpers, black body decals on the side, blacked out the roof, blacked side mirrors, and Blue badging on the tailgate. On the inside, the Figo Blu gets blue inserts on door pad along with sporty upholstery with Blu badging. The rear end of the car also gets blue badging along with black strip running around the tail-gate. Parking cameras and sensors are also part of the package.
Talking about the changes made on the Figo facelift, it gets a new signature grille, body coloured bumper and swept back headlamps. The tweaks made look pretty similar to the Aspire. The new Figo facelift is also expected to get new colour options apart from the older ones. Coming to the interiors, the cabin follows an all black color scheme across its dashboard. The car also gets a new instrument cluster along with a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC3 and Android Auto, though Apple CarPlay won’t be available. Reverse camera, keyless entry, steering mounted controls, 6 airbags, ABS, speed warning are also among the updated features. It will be compliant with the upcoming BNSVAP norms
The major change will be in terms of powertrain options. The Figo facelift will get the 1.2 liter-3 cylinder, naturally aspirated Dragon petrol motor that churns out 95 Bhp of power along with 120 Nm of torque. A 5 speed manual gearbox will be standard. The company will also offer a much more powerful 1.5 liter Dragon petrol engine with 123 Bhp of power and 150 Nm of torque on tap. This engine will be available only with a 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The diesel engine option will be the 1.5 liter TDCI unit that churns out 98.6 Bhp of power along with 215 Nm of torque. This motor will be paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard.
The pricing of the car will be revealed on the 15th of this month at the official launch event. However, it is expected that the company will price the car competitively to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10.
