Ford Figo Facelift to launch on March 15th

Many dealerships across the country ave already started taking bookings for the upcoming Figo. It can be booked at various dealerships with a deposit of Rs 10,000. The updated Figo is already on sale in many international markets. The new updated Figo will get a fresh face with a new front grille, which is similar to the Ford Freestyle and the recently updated Aspire. There will be a new bumper with new fog lamps with chrome insert. It is expected to look more premium than the current version. It will also get bigger and better-looking 15-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, it will get various updates that are likely to give the cabin a premium feel. The new updated Figo is expected to get features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, climate control and an updated 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Sync3 technology. The infotainment system will also support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The main difference or change that we will witness in the upcoming Ford Figo is the engine. It will get the Dragon 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that debuted with Freestyle in the Indian market. It generates a maximum of 96 PS and a peak torque of 120 Nm. The petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel variants of the upcoming Figo will continue to use the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates a maximum of 100 PS and a peak torque of 215 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission.

There is no information available about the automatic transmission. If ford decides to offer the 1.5 liter Dragon petrol engine, then there is a possibility that the new Figo might get a 6-speed torque converter unit, just like the one seen on Ford EcoSport. Also, there are chances that Ford might launch a CNG equipped version of the updated Figo as they have already launched CNG version in the Aspire sedan. Ford might also launch sportier ‘S’ variant with re-tuned suspension at a later stage. The facelifted Figo is meant to keep the car fresh for a couple of years before a full model change comes in as a replacement.
