Ford India is celebrating the second birthday of its small car Figo by offering free insurance and attractive gifts to buyers who visit Ford outlets.

The offer includes free insurance across all variants of Figo petrol. The offer is for limited period only. Given below is a table that shows what discounts are being offered across variants of the Ford Figo. Read more about the Ford Figo.

Let’s see if the new offer makes the Ford Figo, better value for money than other cars in same range such as the Maruti Suzuki Ritz and the Chevrolet Beat.

Figo petrol vs. Ritz petrol
The Figo petrol LXI is now Rs. 17,000 less expensive than the Ritz LXI. And since the insurance is made free, the on-road price of Figo will be Rs. 33,000 lower than the Ritz. In terms of features, both the cars come with AC and power steering as standard features. The Figo petrol EXI with free insurance is now priced Rs. 50,000 lower than the Ritz petrol VXi.
The Figo petrol ZXI with free insurance is Rs. 46,000 cheaper than the Ritz petrol VXi (ABS) variant but the Figo petrol ZXI lacks ABS. The top-end Figo Titanium variant with free insurance is priced Rs. 36,000 lower than the Ritz ZXi. Both the cars are equipped with features such as front dual airbags, ABS, central locking, music system. However, Figo offers features such as Bluetooth connectivity, distance to empty info which the Ritz lacks. However, the Ritz comes with a tray below front passenger seat and rear power windows not found in Figo.

Figo petrol vs. Beat petrol
The Figo petrol LXI with free insurance is Rs. 7,000 cheaper than the Beat 1.2 while the Figo EXI with free insurance is Rs. 4,000 dearer than the Beat 1.2 LS. The Figo petrol ZXI is Rs. 12,000 cheaper than the Beat 1.2 LT variant while the top-end variant, Figo petrol Titanium is Rs. 12,500 cheaper than the Beat 1.2 LT with Option Pack variant. Both the top-end variants of Figo and Beat get airbags, ABS, central locking, keyless entry and music system with Bluetooth connectivity.
Overall, the offer makes the Figo petrol significantly cheaper than the Ritz and only marginally cheaper than the Beat. Ford launched the Figo small car on March 9th 2010 and the car will complete its two years in the next couple of days.
